annie's song, (singer: john denver)

I love this song so much!!!

... I hope you enjoy it as much as me?!

I guess, it's about where we decide to 'lie down' in and after Life and endeavour to rebuild our 'faith' in this world?!

...Where (sometimes) we don't actually note the natural beauty that we were brought-up in and which surrounds us?!

Which (unfortunately!) can be instantly taken away from us  - like our dreams and hopes for the 'future' etc.

So, retrace some of your 'best times' in nature and you might find what actually really mattered to you?!

...It's a beautiful song and video  -  enjoy!!!

=======================

John Denver wrote "Annie's Song" in 1974, while on a ski lift on Bell Mountain in Aspen, Colorado.

He had just skied down a difficult run called "Elevator Shaft".

He was so exhilarated by the previous run that he was inspired to compose "Annie's Song" riding back up the lift.

And, he was soooooooo-excited about the song that he raced home and immediately set it to music.

He dedicated the song to his wife Anne.

John Denver was one of the most popular acoustic artists of the 1970s.

He was an avid pilot, and very-unfortunately died whilst flying his personal aircraft at the early-age of 53.

Notes, scales, chords

How do we select chords for a song or a tune???

As you know, scales are the basic form of music.

Songs / tunes are set in a particular scale.

Once you know the scale for a particular song or tune  -  next comes the question of which chords to play?

A very basic form of chords which play harmoniously in a particular scale  -  for example, chord C Major

1       2        3        4        5         6         7          8
C      D       E        F        G        A         B         c

C is the root key of this scale
1, 4, 5    =>     are all Major chords (C, F, G)
2, 3, 6    =>     are all minor chords (D, E, A)
7            =>     diminished chord (B)

So the chords for C Major scale are:

1       2        3        4        5         6         7          8
C      D       E        F        G        A         B         c
M     m       m       M       M        m        dim      M

M = Major chord; m = minor chord; dim = diminished chord

Go ahead and find out the chords for other scales!
Please do not try to find out ready-made chord progressions from the www.

This is not going to help you in learning fast!

A fast way of learning is the other way round  -  the hard way!!!

Once you formulate your own chords, then you don’t need to 'mug it up'.

They will then be stored in your subconscious-mind, and will therefore come out naturally, as you start playing.

Believe me  -  try this for one scale, and hopefully it will become apparent and hence you will understand.

Now that we know which chords to play for a particular note  -  but, is it necessary to always play the given chord for a particular note?

...No!

It may not be possible or required to play the original chord corresponding to a particular note  -  as playing too many chords, (at least in the beginning), for a particular tempo (speed) and tune may be difficult or may create breaks in continuity.

So, try some short cuts, as follows:-

1)  In the case of note A  -  the chord is A minor in the ‘C’ scale.

A minor = A,  C,  E

F Major = F,  A,  C

(two notes A and C are common).

So, for A note, F Major chord also sounds ok and even sometimes good depending on the tune.

2)  In the case of note B  -  the chord is B diminished in the 'C' scale.

B dim = B,  D,  F
G Major = G,  B,  D

(two notes B and D are common).

So, for B note, we can also use G Major chord as well  -  which sounds good!

My friends...God's given you the skills and love for music, and He will be soooooooooooooo-happy to see you playing sooooooooooooo-nicely!!!

...Because, that’s what God wants YOU to do with the beautiful skills that you've acquired!!!

So, be happy and make others happy my friends and fellow lovers of music!!!!!!

kitna sukoon, kitna aaram hai, (kumar sanu)...beautiful & melodious...sing-along-song!!!

Kitna Sukoon Kitna Aaraam Hai
Paas Main Tum Ho Aur Hathoo Main Jaam Hai
Shaayad Meri Zindagi Ki Hasseen Shaam Hai
Keh Raha Hai Yeh Dil Bekudhi Mae Sanam
Aur Kyaa Chaheie Zindagi Mein Sanam
Aashqi Ka Nasha Aise Jaata Nahi
Tumko Dekhe Bina Chain Aata Nahi
Kasie Zinda Rahoooo.,.
En Hoton Pei sirf Tumhara Naam Hai
Paas Main Tum Ho Aur Hathoo Main Jaam Hai

Kaise Zinda Rahoo Kaise Marke Bhatoo
Tum Zindagi Maen Hontoo Pe Tera Naam Hai
Ye Meri Zindagi Ki Haseen shaam Hai
Dilrubha Hai Kiya Meine Ye Feasla
Ab Toh Jeena Nahi Hai Tumare Siva
Toda Pagal Hoon Mein Toda Deewana Hun
Bas Tumara Hoon Mein Sab Se Beeghana Hun
Aur Kia Mein Kahoooon
Ishq tera meri Chahat ka Emaan Hai
Paas Main Tum Ho Aur Hathoo Main Jaam Hai
Kaise Bhatoo Haal- E Dil
Rusya Kiya Tune Bhari Mehfil Me
Magar Main Ye Jaan Na Saka
Tere Dil Me Koi Mann Me
Main Itna Nadaan Tha Pechaan Na Saka
Aankh Kuli Too Dekha
Na Pass Me Tum Sirf Hathoo Me Jaam Hai
Ab Lagta Hai Meri Zindagi Ki Akhiri Shaam Hai

how peaceful and quite,

you're near and in my hands is (???)

maybe thats the most beautiful night of my life.

my heart says in craziness: what else can you wish in life?

the intoxication of love doesnt go away like that,

without seeing you I get no peace

how can I stay alive?

on these lips is just your name

you are near and in my hands is (???)

maybe thats the most beautiful night of my life

Darling I have decided,

I wont live without you (2x)

Im a bit crazy, but I am yours, stranger to everyone else... what else shall I say?

Your love to me is a present to my love for you.

you are near and in my hands is (???)

maybe thats the most beautiful night of my life

Darling I have decided,

I wont live without you (2x)

Im a bit crazy, but I am yours, stranger to everyone else... what else shall I say?

Your love to me is a present to my love for you.
